Architecture Specialist for the FIS Banking Platform Services
organization, you are responsible for providing application-level
architectural leadership for projects and solutions being built by
the engineering teams and leveraged by other FIS solutions, our
clients, and other partners. This role is responsible for working
with the solution architecture team, vendors, and other
architecture and engineering teams within the company to define the
application/service architecture, conforming to solution design and
relevant standards, and work with engineering teams to ensure the
design is properly implemented to meet our clients' needs.Key
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership within the Banking Platform
Services organization, specifying the architectural design of new
services as well as supporting the consolidation or decomposition
of existing services.
- Define non-functional requirements engineering teams must meet
to ensure success.
- Work with engineering leaders in the career development of
other team members, providing mentoring on new technologies and
complex issues, and helping managers guide career growth for team
members.
- Support documentation needs for client and internal
partners.
- Participating in PI readiness and PI planning to help guide
scrum teams in design understanding.
- Work with principal engineers, architects, POs, and other
stakeholders to build world-class services across a global
team.Base Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 6+ years of architecture experience focused on web services and
APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across
cross-functional teams, negotiate complex situations, and generate
successful outcomes for teams.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, API security, API
DevOps, event processing, monitoring, reliability, and performance
concepts.
- Team player, ready to collaborate with peers to manage
dependencies, ensuring projects remain on time, within budget, and
meet quality standards.
- Problem solver who can navigate complex issues independently
and craft solutions, make informed decisions, and communicate with
partners and stakeholders.

range for this full-time position is $145,900.00 - $245,120.00 and
reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for
this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within
the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant
education or training. Any changes in work location will also
impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your
