Our client, a leader in facilities management and mechanical systems, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the operations support team, contributing to the maintenance and efficiency of critical building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Facilities Technician Location: Tuskegee, AL Pay Range: $24-26hr Shift: 6:30am-3:30pm What's the Job? Operate and monitor commercial boiler systems, ensuring optimal performance through startup, shutdown, and real-time adjustments Perform detailed inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment to uphold safety and efficiency standards Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex boiler system issues, collaborating with maintenance teams for repairs Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs, including routine tasks and minor repairs Manage water treatment systems and participate in energy conservation initiatives to improve system efficiency What's Needed? High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in mechanical systems or related fields Valid boiler operator license as required by state regulations with current certification Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in boiler operations and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings Strong knowledge of boiler systems, HVAC equipment, and mechanical systems Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and mechanical drawings What's in it for me?
