Job Description:
Job Title: Mammography Technologist Job Specialty: Imaging Job
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year
experience as a Radiologic Technologist and preferred minimum 1
year experience in Mammography License: Registered with the
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certifications: - ARRT Mammography - ARRT Radiography - Basic Life
Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor Must-Have: - Excellent
communication skills - Ability to function independently and under
pressure - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to
prioritize effectively - Detail-oriented and capable of
multitasking - Competent in all aspects of Mammography, patient
positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection Job
Description: - Provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients by
performing all exams according to department procedures. -
Independently perform diagnostic imaging procedures and set up
equipment. - Obtain complete clinical history and assess patients
for contraindications. - Ensure quality patient care by verifying
unique patient identifiers and clinician orders. - Practice
infection control and maintain equipment according to department
cleaning schedules. - Explain procedures thoroughly to patients
using the AIDET framework. - Produce high-quality images,
maintaining a first-time acceptance rate of 95%. - Participate in
the orientation and training of departmental employees. - Maintain
accreditation standards and complete documentation for quality
control tests. - Transport and position patients safely and
efficiently. - Keep the department organized and well-stocked with
necessary supplies. - Communicate effectively with physicians,
patients, and department staff. - Maintain compliance with all
applicable policies, standards, and codes of conduct.
