Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Atlanta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,580 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Technologist Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-BB, AMT, ABB acceptable Must-Have: Blood bank experience required Unit does not accept first-time travelers Description: MLT not accepted. Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit. If clinical pass and within guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Candidate must be available to work one major holiday during the assignment period. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler must work two of the holidays. Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. Traveler must have two supervisory references preferred at the time of submission. RTO is a maximum of seven days. Holiday RTO policy states that no holiday RTO can be requested if one or two major holidays occur during assignment period. If three holidays occur, one holiday RTO request can be reviewed for approval. Modules are non-billable and are completed during the orientation. Candidate must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs promptly. Compliance document deadline is the Tuesday prior to start. If a traveler is deemed unable to return to one facility, they must complete one successful assignment outside prior to rebooking. Traveler is expected to float within facility/scope of practice as needed. Weekend coverage is required every third weekend. There is no call requirement for this position. Clinical screening will be done on a case-by-case basis. Experience with blood banking procedures and transfusion reaction workup is essential. Familiarity with patient specimen collection and storage is also necessary. Skills required include various laboratory tests and quality assurance and control measures.
