Job Details - Location: Atlanta, GA 30329 (Atlanta, Georgia healthcare jobs) - Assignment Type: Travel Nurse – CVOR RN - Start Date: March 30, 2026 - End Date: June 28, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 10-hour days (Monday–Friday, 4 shifts per week, one day off) - Shift Times: 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM - Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed) - Call: Required (on-call rotation) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,450–$2,580/week Required Qualifications - Active Georgia RN license or valid compact state license (Georgia nursing jobs) - Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) / cardiac OR experience - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required - Pediatric cardiac surgery experience is a plus - Ability to pass a nicotine screening (nicotine-free facility) - Must be able to receive a flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted) Primary Responsibilities - Provide direct perioperative patient care as a Cardiovascular Operating Room nurse, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes during cardiac surgical procedures - Perform scrub and circulating roles in complex adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries - Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during cardiovascular procedures and high-acuity cases - Monitor and document patient status throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases in the EHR - Participate in the on-call rotation and respond as needed to urgent cardiac OR cases - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—perioperative, anesthesia, perfusion, and critical care—to deliver high-quality cardiac care - Maintain strict compliance with facility policies, infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety standards This travel CVOR RN opportunity in Atlanta, GA is ideal for perioperative nurses and cardiovascular OR RNs seeking short-term travel nursing assignments in cardiac surgery.
