Pay: $1,822 to $1,876 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with TalentBurst, Inc. to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Macon, Georgia, 31201! Primary Purpose The Registered Nurse – Resource Team provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN Clinical Nurse/RT assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Registered Nurse – Resource Team maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served. Must be available to provide nursing services in all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge, at all elected facilities. A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. Major Responsibilities Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation. Practices ethically. Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. Communicates effectively in all areas of practice. Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. Leads within the professional practice setting and the profession. Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: CCU - Critical Care Unit MICU - Medical ICU STICU - Surgical Trauma ICU NICU - Neuro ICU CVICU - Cardiovascular ICU PCU - Progressive Care Unit- Step down unit Patient Ratios: RN: ICU – 1:1-2; PCU – 1:3-4 LPN: 1:4-6 CNA: most units have 1-2 CNA per shift Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements: BLS ACLS CCRN (preferred) Traveler will be required to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding Skills required: Trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometer Common drips: Insulin drips, Heparin drips, narcotic drips, paralytic drips, actively titrate vasopressors, sedation drips, cardiac drips, etc. Support within the Department: CNA – assists with vitals, blood glucose checks, baths, bed changes, feeding if needed, patient safety attendant; walk pts, turn pts Unit Secretary: on unit 7a-11p; then house wide call secretary 11p-7a Charge nurse: Yes Phlebotomy: Most units are lab collect phlebotomy; RNs draw off of CVLs IV/VAT Team: Not an IV team - do have a PICC team Resource Nurse: Yes, discharge nurses, Resource team floats to all units RT 24/7 Hospitalist 24/7 Intensivist 24/7 Telemetry monitoring/tech: Central telemetry unit Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Pyxis Monitors: Phillips Unit specific equipment: Nova Glucose Stat Strips Floating: Travelers are utilized in a float pool capacity – will be required to float to all Med/Tele units in house, as needed Orientation (facility and unit): 1 day orientation with work on educational modules 2 days departmental Scheduling: Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule) No call Holiday Expectations: work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after 12/24 or 12/25 12/31 or 1/1) RTO Requests: MUST go through Manager for approval Shift times: 12-hour shifts 7A-7P or 7P-7A Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other notes: Scrub Color: RN- Navy; LPN- Ceil Blue Parking: Free parking around campus or can pay to park in parking decks Unit Culture: Busy; Team Oriented TB_RN ZRHC 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Connect with healthcare professionals nationwide, expanding your professional network.
