Job Description A top ten hospital in GA is seeking a board certified/board eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a well-established practice in the beautiful and historic Macon, Georgia area. Macon is situated south of metropolitan Atlanta and within driving distance to the mountains and barrier islands of Georgia. The hospital physician group is an established multispecialty group of 200 clinicians providing professional medical services to the hospital entities in Macon, Milledgeville, and Fort Valley, as well as, the patients in the Central Georgia area. The hospital is a 637-bed level one trauma center which has seen phenomenal growth and expansion fostered by a cohesive Physician and Administrative leadership team striving toward a common goal of excellent patient care and outcomes through demonstration of our values of Integrity, Respect, Ownership and Caring. The healthcare system proudly boasts a Heart and Vascular Center which houses cardiac catheterization labs, dedicated state of the art operating rooms, an EP lab, CVICU, and cardiac rehabilitation center; all staffed by a dedicated team of the most qualified and highly skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist, Perfusionist, Cardio Thoracic Surgeons, Physician Assistants, nurses and support personal in cardiac surgery. Our Cardiothoracic Surgeons perform a broad range of services including ECMO, thoracic aortic surgery, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement and CABG. The system is a certified destination LVAD center and has an active TAVR program that was started in 2017. The thoracic surgery program involves all aspects of thoracic surgery except for transplant.
