POSITION SUMMARY:

experienced part-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to help pioneer
our recruitment function, and lead and elevate our recruitment,
hiring, and onboarding processes as we grow beyond 40 employees. As
a key member of our small but mighty team, you'll drive efforts to
attract and onboard top talent during our exciting period of
growth. From crafting compelling job postings to ensuring a smooth
hiring and onboarding journey, you'll play a key role in shaping
our workforce.
When related to hiring and onboarding, you'll also empower managers
through training, provide guidance, and help maintain compliance by
refining related policies and processes. You'll think about how AI
will impact recruitment and how we both mitigate risk and benefit

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not
limited to the following: Lead and level up our Recruitment and
Hiring practices.
Your key priority is to recruit, filter, and select quality
candidates for client opportunities.
You will lead recruitment from intake to offer - This includes
drafting and refining job descriptions, posting to and managing job
board, screening candidates (resumes, calls, interviews),
facilitating and conducting interviews, and coordinating interview
appointments and related logistics - It also means modernizing our
approaches in the face of widespread AI adoption (from both the
candidate and employer side).
Efforts will include identifying and attracting top talent, with a
strong emphasis on increasing representation from underrepresented
communities.
Ensure Engaging Onboarding: Support and drive continuous
improvement of the onboarding process, including facilitating the
background check and I-9 process, welcoming the new hires,
completing HRIS set-up, ensuring secure file management, and
coordinating onboarding tasks with our PEO partners, managers, and
administrators.
We know that's a lot already! But as our organization size is still
relatively small, we anticipate recruitment ebbs and flows,
creating opportunities for this role to also: Mature organization
through related Training and HR Support: Train managers on hiring
and onboarding best practices, support new hire training
initiatives and training development, and provide guidance on
related HR policies and the PEO HRIS tool.
Build Consistent, Repeatable, Compliant Recruitment Processes:
Develop SOPs and guides to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, and
associated programs. Support update of HR compliance policies
related to rules and regulations that impact hiring and
onboarding.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience and track record in talent
acquisition and recruitment, including leading and building
inclusive and innovative recruitment and onboarding practices. At
least 4 years of directly related experience.
Strong, engaging communication and interpersonal skills with the
ability to draw in and attract top talent.
Demonstrated ability to train and support managers in best hiring
practices.
Highly collaborative and responsive to feedback - never recruits in
a bubble.
A self-starter; embodies a thirst for learning and a curious
nature. Willingness to learn and try new things, with a particular
interest in understanding how AI is changing the recruiting and
onboarding landscape.
Possess a constructive attitude and a desire to be part of a
fast-paced, dynamic work environment, utilizing a high sense of
urgency, patience, and flexibility.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Extensive knowledge of and experience with
recruitment processes and onboarding best practices, including a
focus on skill-based hiring practices.
Experience with HRIS tools.
Experience with PEOs preferred.
Knowledge of training development and facilitation best
practices.
At least basic knowledge of common use AI tools and applications
with the interest in deep learning about how these are and can be
applied in the recruiting and hiring process.
Background in attracting and retaining talent from underrepresented
communities.
Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience and comfort learning new tools and technologies.
SKILLS: Proficient in drafting and refining creative, engaging, and
inclusive job descriptions.
Comfortable using and managing a wide range of job boards.
Highly Effective candidate interview and screening skills.
Skilled at "going to the candidates, finding and building
relationships with a wide variety of individuals.
Able to develop clear SOPs and guides to strengthen recruitment and
onboarding programs.
A quick, analytical learner, with the ability to efficiently learn
business concepts and apply to screening and hiring processes.
Must be highly organized, with attention to detail and commitment
to clear documentation.
Able to adapt to a changing environment; comfort working in a fluid
environment where processes may change.
Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Driven to stay on top of industry trends, analyze new best
practices, and continuously improve processes.
