Job Description:

part of something bigger. Position Purpose: The Sr. Manager,
Merchandise Planning, HDD will be responsible for execution of
assortment reviews and strategic planning/analysis of online
programs. This individual would develop pricing & profitability
analytics and provide store side Merchandising with the insights
needed to grow total market share. The Sr. Manager, Merchandise
Planning is responsible for analyzing data to identify
opportunities across all depts and providing recommendations to
senior leadership. Utilizes online tools and capabilities to ensure
multi channel alignment. Key Responsibilities: 40% Drive consistent
category-level strategy planning with Merchants: coordination of
necessary data from both store and online systems, development of
project templates and concise reporting results for Online and
Store Merchants 20% Responsible for the development of standard
reporting tools, supervising data collection and reporting
distribution 20% Partner with functional areas such as Supply
Chain, Core Merchandising, Vendor Compliance and Inventory
Management to ensure effective solutions that can be leveraged
across all areas 10% Manage work activities and provide development
of direct reports 10% Serve as primarily liaison with Merchandising
Execution team to ensure inclusion of online strategies in product
line reviews and synergies between online and core merchandising
assortments. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: Position reports to
DMM, homedepot.com Accountable for direct supervision of the work
activities of others. In addition to personnel issues including
selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional
development of subordinates. Travel Requirements: Typically
requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical
Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable
position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare
occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any
unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred
Qualifications: Online and/or Retail Store Experience. Both
preferred. Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
from varying sources. Experience with relational databases.
Epiphany and/ or Omniture preferred. Online and/or Retail Store

Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired
through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent
