experience preferred License: MLT(AAB) or MLT(AMT) or MLT(ASCP)
Certifications: All certifications required upon hire Must-Have: -
Associates in Medical Technology or Equivalent - Experience in
laboratory settings - Strong organizational and communication
skills - Ability to maintain accuracy in testing and reporting
Description: This role allows the Medical Laboratory Technician to
perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility. Under
general supervision, the technician exercises independent judgment
as competency is demonstrated. Maintains acceptable accuracy in
patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
Uses clinical and theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate,
interpret, and report lab data. Meets department standards for
correct patient or specimen identification. Documents
investigations and correct interpretations of quality assurance
failures or trends. Reports lab data accurately and in a timely
manner. Recognizes the relationship between lab data and clinical
findings or expectations. Initiates investigations of problems and
works toward resolution. Practices effective organizational skills
to ensure efficiency of time, materials, and cost. Meets deadlines
for turn-around times required by the department. Adheres to
established standards of behavior. Takes personal responsibility
for corrective actions based on constructive feedback. Maintains
current knowledge and practice of policies and procedures related
to laboratory work. Participates in meetings and completes
educational requirements as needed. Performs other duties as
