world-class talent to join the world's leading distributor of
automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added
services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000
locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will be
responsible for developing and leading a package implementation
team that owns implementing and maintaining GPC's new store
back-office platform, Oracle Fusion. Specifically, this is a newly
created role to lead Digitization and Technology Modernization of
the Retail Stores.This is an engineering leadership role with
responsibility for implementing Oracle Fusion and integrating it
within the larger environment. This environment includes legacy
systems, cloud native domains and the unified commerce platform. In
this position, you will leverage your expertise to optimize
processes, enhance user experiences, and drive operational
excellence as we integrate Oracle Fusion into our business

from you!This individual must be a technologist & engineer at heart
and be comfortable in enabling new technology and being hands on
with the execution of the strategy. They must have deep functional
experience with Oracle Fusion and expert level in one of the
modules (SCM, Financials, or HCM). They should demonstrate clear
understanding of Oracle's product roadmap and a keen curiosity to
stay abreast with the latest Fusion offerings. They must exhibit a
deep understanding of modern technology stack and agile delivery
models, demonstrated focus on customer experience, and must have a
proven track record of delivering solutions.Close collaboration and
alignment with business teams, application development teams and
security will be required. As such, exceptional abilities in
building and maintaining strong working relationships and
organizational savvy will be required. High level communication and
presentation skills are required. Ability to attract, retain, and
develop engineering talent will be critical.Successful candidate in
this role will require to demonstrate close collaboration and
alignment with a wide variety of both internal stakeholders and
external vendors.Responsibilities:
- Complete responsibility of architecture roadmap and vision for
the Oracle Fusion Platform at Genuine Parts Company.
- Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as
well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution,
recommending potential options, selecting the most optimal
solution, and the development of a technical roadmap for the
selected solutions.
- Lead design and architecture discussions for IT platforms
engaging with other engineering teams across different domains and
business units to ensure secure and scalable solutions.
- Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate
solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options
incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and
total cost of ownership.
- Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and
collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the
formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
- Provides oversight on delivery to ensure industry best
practices, standards, automation, quality, timeliness, operational
readiness, continuous improvement, and cost-effective
solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff / lead
engineers and the technical team within a domain(s).
- Provide direction and oversight to Systems Integrators and
Other Outsourced partners. Manage delivery across global teams in
multiple time zones.
- Responsible for delivery and support of the platform.
- Responsible for simplifying the complexity of current platforms
and reducing the technical debt and total cost of ownership.
- Recruit, manage, and motivate a team of engineers and
Engineering managers to develop best-in-class solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.Location:
- This role is based in GPC's Atlanta office, requiring 4 days in
the office.Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, related field, or equivalent
experience.
- 12 (15 preferred) years of experience in Oracle ERP/Fusion
implementations and support (including 6+ years in leadership
role)
- Deep functional experience with Oracle Fusion and expert level
in one of the modules (SCM, Financials, or HCM)
- Expertise in newer Oracle offerings such as Agentic AI, Redwood
UX and Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) a plus.
- Experience managing 50+ FTE team of internal and extended
delivery resources. Progressive people leadership growth highly
desired.
- Technologist & engineer at heart who is comfortable in
understanding the technology direction and being hands on with the
execution of the strategy.
- Must exhibit a deep understanding of modern technology stack
and agile delivery models, demonstrated focus on customer
experience, and must have a proven track record of modernizing
legacy technologies at scale.
- Proficiency in integrating packaged software with enterprise
applications for DTC or B2B businesses.
- Exceptional abilities in building and maintaining strong
working relationships and organizational savvy
- Consistent track record of leadership, teamwork, and delivering
high impact results
- Extensive experience building enterprise grade
systems/applications supporting business priorities
- Must be able to attract, retain, and develop engineering
talent.
- Strong fiscal prudence to maximize technology investments
against critical business priorities across the enterprise
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills is a must.Not
